Nobody Likes You When You're 23

About a week ago, I celebrated my 23rd birthday by purchasing a new car. ...and eating a butt-ton of cake. There's this bakery near my house that's super awesome. I got a cake that's vanilla but it's dyed a bunch of different pretty colors 8D I had a really nice birthday, and I really appreciate so many people commenting on my profile here I read all of those comments and treasure them!! 

I also have been lucky in recent days to have been given a lot of art -- some of em are commissions, but some of em are generous presents and they're the best presents ever ever I like my OCs too much looklook:

I have good news: it honestly pains my heart that I've uploaded so few Sunshine Duelists/cosplay-related things lately. It's sad because the Sunshine Duelists actually live in about five different cities, so the time we get together is rare and precious -- the thing is, is putting together a great opportunity for us to all meet up again and take pictures in cosplay and maybe even do skits!!! It'll probably happen sometime in September but I'm already excited about it.

Speaking of my OCs, taking funny pictures in cosplay isn't the only thing I'm super passionate about -- I also really like writing and am in the final stages of editing my novel! I finished the first draft almost a year ago -- on July 9th, 2012 it had 194,000 words (close to the length of the 4th Harry Potter book) and now it has 96,000 words (about halfway between the lengths of the 2nd and 3rd Harry Potter Books) and it's sssssooo mmmucchhh cleaner and better and yay That's a funny thing I've learned about writing -- in August 2011 I had this decent concept, by July 2012 I finished a very messy, honestly downright bad first draft, and even then it took me ANOTHER whole year to craft it into a coherent work of art. I guess the lesson is, never give up because you can only keep getting better!!! (...even if it takes a loooong time )

Anyway, by no means am I the most genius writer in the world (I think I'm still unnecessarily wordy and probably downright cheesy) but I believe in this silly thing and think that someday it'll have a future 8D Maybe even someday kind of soon! But until then I'll keep commissioning art because y'all can bring my ideas to life better than I can. Who's open for commissions!?!!?
